Grappige, verdrietige, spannende, lieve, ongelooflijke, troostende verhalen: dat is waar Soula's Storytelling Nights om draait. Voel je thuis en luister naar verhalen van over de hele wereld!
Kom dinsdag 16 april luisteren naar ervaren verhalenvertellers en getalenteerde nieuwkomers die hun verhaal vertellen. Waargebeurde verhalen over gekke families, vreselijke dates, mythen, volksverhalen of nieuw geschreven verhalen. En als de inspiratie toeslaat, wordt het publiek uitgenodigd om hun naam in een hoed te stoppen. Aan het einde van de avond worden twee namen willekeurig gekozen en mogen de gelukkigen hun verhaal delen. Alles kan zolang de verhalen maar verteld worden en niet van papier worden voorgelezen.
Vier keer per jaar host Soula Notos deze storytellingavond in Theater Kikker. Dit is de laatste editie van dit theaterseizoen.
Irina Koriazova
Irina Koriazova (1994) is an Amsterdam-based storyteller. Born in a provincial city in Russia, she never thought she would leave. And yet here she is, trying to make sense of her life through telling stories. Irina has a dry sense of humour and she likes to turn things upside down: a huge scary monster becomes worthy of love, and a victim turns into a protagonist. Her stories are often described as raw and unsanitized. Irina often hosts and performs at Mezrab, as well at other storytelling venues and events all over the Netherlands. She performed at the Boslab Theaterfestival, Gluren bij de Buren festival, Viva la Vulva festival, Oerol Festival, the Amsterdam Fringe Festival (2023) and the Amsterdam Storytelling Festival.
Anas Al Halabi
I’m Anas, a storyteller from Syria. Nine years ago, I came to the Netherlands as a refugee, an experience that has profoundly shaped my passion for storytelling. I firmly believe that the best way to truly understand someone is through their stories—the tales of their life. My love for reading and listening to podcasts keeps me continually immersed in the world of narratives. Through storytelling, I aim to share the richness of life, resilience, and the shared human experience, inviting you to know me, and others, one story at a time.
Raffi Feghali
Raffi Feghali is a storyteller, theater director, performer, percussionist, theater sound designer, and peacebuilder working mostly in Europe, USA, and the Middle East while being based between Amsterdam and Beirut.
He‘s directed more than 35 Theatre of the Oppressed, improvisational theatre, and other performances since 2009. As a performer he has performed in more than 60 shows worldwide, under many international directors.Raffi is one of the people who brought improv to Lebanon in 2009 and he has recently embarked on a journey taking him back to his storytelling roots.
He launched his first autobiographical monodrama, Peer Gynt of Bourj Hammoud, in 2018. More recently, he’s been in Interview the Dead and directed We Are The Ones Who Live Here. Rian Evers
Utrecht based Rian Evers is a troubadour, songwriter, composer, singer and musician.For over ten years she has been writing songs, composing music and performing.
