Ordinary becomes extraordinary in VO-LU-ME, a new production from youth theatre company Het Laagland, and sequel to the successful production WOOSH!. VO-LU-ME is an introduction to theatre for toddlers aged 1.5 to 3 years old. Step by step, Karlijn Hamer and Bram van Helden guide their audiences through a world full of imagination.

In their pocket, the pair find a small piece of fabric, which becomes increasingly larger the more it unfolds. So large it could fill an entire room, so large that you could disappear in it! This piece of fabric can take on any shape, any volume. One moment you feel tiny, the next you feel larger than life. This rag can be a tent you need to whisper in or a high tower you want to sing from: very soft or nice and loud! After the performance, everyone's eyes and ears are opened. All hands are itching, and all feet are kicking. The children, together with their parents and caregivers, are invited onto the floor to play along. Because playing together and feeling amazement is the best thing there is.
