Intense performance in which fiction and reality co-exist
In the Dutch premier of The Basement, choreographer Daniel Mariblanca and his trans-inclusive dance company 71BODIES explore Daniel's deepest, most intense feelings. Those feelings that are indescribable by words, but that dig into the very core of your soul. The Basement is a fictional space, used by Daniel to find a sense of liberation in his memories and emotions. Fear and pain transform into a tool to overcome difficulty and his vulnerability sprouts courage, agency and freedom. A physically impressive performance in which fiction and reality exist together.

Artistic confessional on your performance experience
You just saw a performance. What was your role in it? As an audience member, you are an essential part of the experience. In the artistic confessional Tell Me What You Really Really Really Think, performance artist fay asks you to actively reflect on this responsibility. On three separate evenings, after the performance in Theater Kikker, they invite you to a one-on-one conversation. You won’t see each other, so you can fully focus on your thoughts. In a personal, open conversation, fay encourages you to share your sensations, ideas and feelings, allowing you to paint a clearer picture of your own experience and help deepen the artistic conversation.
Tell Me What You Really Really Really Think can be visited after g r oo v e, Macht vs Seks, This Resistance, Patience and The Basement, and will only be accessible for visitors of these performances. The conversation will be in English.
