Kikker Experimenteert: OFFsessions
Theatre Kikker doesn't shy away from experimental programming, this time our theatre presents the performers in the middle of their progress. The performers will present their work in progress for one night only, feedback from the audience is a warm welcome. The audience meaning: you! An intimate and surprising night, and of course a look at what is cooking in the Kikker kitchen. In this edition: a special from OFFprojects.
Under the title ‘OFFsessions’, the makers and dancers from OFFprojects will share their ideas, questions and methods in a fun and accessible way. In this session, the focus is on the process for their new production The Bone Algorithm. Together with interdisciplinary artist Gosse de Kort and sound artist Salvador Breed, dancemaker Amos Ben-Tal questions how technology affects our way of ‘being’. The project involves a fascinating installation that produces sound through the movement of the dancers.
Choreographer Amos Ben-Tal and his collective OFFprojects have been regular guests on the stage of Theatre Kikker over the years. In January, the group will also have a short development period in our theatre, at the end of which they will share their working process with the audience. This encounter is a good way to learn more about how such an interdisciplinary project comes to life. The final performance The Bone Algorithm can be seen at Theatre Kikker on 9 April.
